Lo & Sons, a family-operated brand with its roots in NYC, is one that I ardently support. This woman-established, Asian American-run brand has produced bags that are regulars in my daily and travel routine. My trusty Waverly belt bag is frequently at my side, and for travels, I always pack their backpack (which I’ve previously reviewed). Thus, my excitement was palpable when they graciously sent over their newest addition: the Nouvelle.
The Nouvelle is designed as a crossbody bag, distinguished by its charming dome shape—a design that subtly mirrors Lo & Son’s laptop bag, the O.G. 2.
Full disclosure: Lo & Sons gifted me the Nouvelle bag and this article contains affiliate links. Should you make a purchase through my links, a commission might come my way. Rest assured, my reviews are genuine and I only delve into products that genuinely pique my interest. Your support is deeply appreciated.
Dimensions: To me, the Nouvelle fits the bill as a small-sized bag. Measuring 7″x 9″ and 3″ in depth, it’s undeniably compact. Given that I have other crossbody bags of a similar size, I was initially skeptical about what distinctiveness the Nouvelle might offer. However, after months of use, it has truly won me over, particularly due to its impeccable organization—a feature I’ll elaborate on shortly.
Heft: Weighing in at 11.5 oz, it’s commendably lightweight. I have little patience for hefty bags, so Lo & Sons’ practice of detailing both the weight and dimensions of their bags in product descriptions is something I value. It’s a detail, surprisingly overlooked by many other retailers, that I believe is vital.

Nouvelle Crossbody Bag – $131 on sale ($175 originally). Organizational pockets galore, including card slots, a mesh slot for phone, and a zippered interior pocket.
